The first time I touched clay was when I was 16 years old. I was naturally drawn to the medium. I pursued my passion in pottery for 10 years. At that time I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s of Art at Southern Utah University in Ceramics and Sculpture. After graduating from SUU, I attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for three years and earned my Masters of Fine Arts in ceramics. Following my MFA I worked for five years as a professor of Art at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas.

Having a desire to return to my home town in Southern Utah I packed up the family and started a new job and studio in St. George , Utah. I currently teach Ceramics full time at Snow Canyon High School and part time at Dixie State College and Southern Utah University. Over the last four years I have established a studio and built a soda kiln. I feel fortunate to be able to pursue my artistic dreams of teaching and making fine hand made pottery full time.
