Traveling, storytelling, gathering bits and pieces, sketching, painting, constructing and working with a variety of media -- all these passions come together in Sue Cotter's artist books, or "narrative sculptures" as she prefers to call them.

Born in Kalispell, Montana, Cotter has lived and traveled around the country from west to east and back again. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on a full scholarship and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno where she studied letterpress printing and book arts with Robert Blesse. She now has a home and letterpress studio in southern Utah but continues to travel whenever possible.
