Artist Statement

I create in the mediums of watercolor, charcoal and pencil or pen, typically originating from direct observation of life. Sometimes work is completed on-the-spot or begun on location and finished in the studio later. All this informs the finished artwork, conveying the feeling or sense of place and time.
